This book was published and promoted by its authors –three industrial leaders– at the time of the Johannesburg summit, and its purpose is to demonstrate the “business case” for sustainable development. For the first time, leading industrialists explain not only that sustainable development is good for business, but the solution of social and environment problems is essential for growth. The authors base their demonstration on a number of specific cases and interviews. The conclusion is that regardless of their size, all companies need to change and innovate otherwise they will be unable to satisfy the challenges of tomorrow. The book attempts to give them some hints for successful innovation.
